Wine Country Tales
Wine, art and song blend together in Wine Country Tales, by illustrator Bill Russell and guitarist Brian Gore. Wine Country Tales is an innovative series of ten videos featuring animations, illustrations, and original songs, each telling a unique story about the region. The project culminated in a published release of a two DVD set of music, images and booklet. Watch this video called Bale Mill tells the story of Dr. Edward Bale, who founded the Bale Grist Mill, a few miles north of Saint Helena, in Napa Valley.

Santa Cruz in Song and Image
The Santa Cruz in Song and Image project combines musician Brian Gore’s original compositions in a “musical map” of the Santa Cruz Mountains region with images created by illustrator Bill Russell. Various technologies were used to create, deliver and monetize the songs and the artwork, including a CD and postcard package, animated videos and an enhanced iBook.
